The Save File
G'day Gamers,
We have entered an expensive but amazing part of the gaming calendar. I've been hooked on Forza 6 for the better part of a week and absolutely loving it, but it won't be long until 007 First Light is here and that's a day one game for me. LEGO Batman probably turns into one I'll play when it comes on sale, and I'm not sure when I'll get time to check in with my buddy Yoshi.
Send your prayers for my wallet.
Plenty more news to get through on top of that, so let's not waste any more time.
Let's get into it,
Give Me New God Of War..
PlayStation State Of Play Announced

Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed on May 20 that the next PlayStation State of Play will broadcast on Tuesday, June 2 at 2pm PT, with the showcase running over sixty minutes. The broadcast opens with an extended look at Marvel's Wolverine, the Insomniac Games action-adventure that launches as a PS5 exclusive on September 15. Pre-orders go live after the segment ends.
Insomniac has been quiet on Wolverine for months. The studio confirmed in the PlayStation Blog post that the June 2 segment will feature new gameplay footage, fresh details, and a closer look at what it called "Logan's brutal and relentless combat." This is the third major Wolverine reveal moment since the game was first announced at the September 2021 State of Play, and the first proper gameplay showcase since late 2024. Sony is also partnering with Alamo Drafthouse on free in-cinema watch parties on June 2 across six US metropolitan areas, with free tickets opening at 6am PT on May 20.
The remaining sixty-plus minutes have been described by Sony as "more than 60 minutes of updates, announcements, and gameplay reveals from top studios around the world." No other games have been formally confirmed, but rumours and speculation around the showcase have intensified across the week.
Among the most-circulated rumours: Santa Monica Studio's next God of War project is reported to follow Faye as a playable protagonist instead of Kratos, with several outlets including The Gamer flagging it as a likely State of Play appearance. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, which was first revealed at the June 2025 State of Play, is widely expected to return for an anniversary update, potentially with its remaining roster reveals. Destructoid and several other outlets have raised the possibility of a GTA 6 segment as part of a rumoured PlayStation marketing deal with Rockstar Games, though no source has confirmed this. The Faye God of War project, Marathon's Season 2, Death Stranding 2 post-launch content, and a possible Death of the Outsider follow-up from Arkane Lyon have all also been mentioned in pre-show speculation.
The June 2 broadcast kicks off the 2026 summer showcase calendar. Summer Game Fest runs from June 5 to 8 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, with an Xbox Games Showcase expected to follow in the same window.
